Since I hadn't been since it reopened, I decided I needed to visit the Griffith Park Observatory. The inside is beautiful, and I'm always a fan of Hugo Ballin murals. In the new section, there is a cool timeline from Big Bang to present, stylized by a stream of costume jewelry in celestial shapes. Yes, I visit the Observatory and immediately go to the rhinestones! I picked this picture of James Dean because, as a Hoosier myself, Rebel Without A Cause was my first introduction to the Observatory.
